Mahanaim School is responsible for and dedicated to providing a healthy and safe environment/campus for students, faculty, staff, and all other people who engage in in-person activities at Mahanaim’s facility and campus. This official COVID-19 policy will cover vaccination requirements and quarantine requirements, which will apply to all students, faculty, staff, and other people engaging in Mahanaim’s facility and campus. Mahanaim reserves the right to alter and amend this policy based on guidance from the CDC and the New York State Department of Health. Amendments and alterations will be emailed to all in the Mahanaim community.
When testing Positive:
Must quarantine for 5 days and provide a negative rapid test to return to campus.
When showing COVID-like symptoms:
Self-assess and communicate with your program chair or supervisor regarding the need to remove yourself from campus if necessary.
International Travel:
Must provide a negative rapid test before accessing campus.
Domestic Travel:
Do not need to quarantine if you can provide a negative rapid test upon return.
Full Vaccinated
Encouraged to receive the booster shot.
Should receive annual doses as required by their FDA-approved vaccine series.
At all times, except when eating in the cafeteria, alone in an office or room, and in accordance with Guidelines on Academics, Building Use, and Activities policy.
Social distancing encouraged and required in certain academic and non-academic settings according to the Guidelines on Academics, Building Use, and Activities policy.
Submit rapid test results monthly.
Partially Vaccinated
Must show proof of 2nd dose of vaccine within 10 days of the start of classes.
At all times, except when eating in the cafeteria, alone in an office or room, and in accordance with Guidelines on Academics, Building Use, and Activities policy.
Social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet is required at all times unless otherwise noted in the Guidelines on Academics, Building Use, and Activities policy.
Submit rapid test results every two weeks.
Non-Vaccinated
Must receive 1st dose of vaccine within 15 days of the start of classes.
Medical exemptions must be approved by the Mahanaim Health Advisor.
At all times, except when eating in the cafeteria or alone in an office or room. Must remain masked for all other academic and non-academic activities inside the Mahanaim facility.
